Games held on Sundays at varied times between 1.20pm - 7.00pm
Games are only held during term times, not during the school holidays

Splash Polo 

Splash Polo/Newbies is most commonly known as ‘Mini Water Polo’. The game is a water based sport and it is a great way for kids to be active while building confidence when in the water. Games are played on Sunday afternoons between 1-7pm and are open to students in Years 2 – 6. There are a variety of different grades depending on swimming ability.

Newbies Year 2-3

League Dates: Sunday, 19th February – Sunday, 27th March
Game Times: Between 1:00 – 6:30 pm
Where: The National Aquatic Centre – Shallow Pool (opposite AUT Millennium)
Practice times for Term 1: NAC Learners Pool (Lanes 1&2), Saturdays 25th February, 11th
March and 25th March from 4:00 – 4:45 pm
Fees: TBC

Flippa Ball  Years 4-6

Term Dates: Sunday, Sunday, 19th February – Sunday, 27th March
Game Times: Between 1:00 – 6:30 pm
Where: AUT Millennium
Practise: AUT Millennium Pool Saturdays, Saturdays 25th February, 11th March and 25th March
from 3:15 – 4:00 pm

The Sports Co-ordinator will enter school teams in this competition and all players will be required to re-register each term.

Coach

The role of the coach is to co-ordinate their teams training every other Saturday. It is the coach’s responsibility to attend their team’s games and to provide support and guidance where necessary. The Millennium may run some beginner clinics during the term.

The coach will work alongside the team Manager to ensure all children are informed of their weekly game time and positions for each game.

The coach must ensure that the students sign the Code of Conduct form before the competition begins.

Manager

The role of the Manager is to collate team information and inform parents and children weekly of their game times. The managers will work alongside the team coach and attend their team’s games

Managers will be required to contact the Sports Coordinator if there are any team changes and to confirm the team’s re-registration.

Uniform

Suitable swimwear, no watches or jewelry. Caps & ball provided at the pool.
