Kia ora Mairangi Bay Whānau,
As we begin Term 2, I want to express my appreciation for your continued support in creating a positive and inclusive school environment. Our school values of kindness, respect, and resilience are the foundation of our community, and I encourage everyone to embody these values in all aspects of their lives.
As I celebrate my first anniversary as your principal, I am proud of all we have accomplished as a school community. Together, we have achieved so much in the past year. We have continued to prioritise our school values of kindness, respect, and resilience and have seen the positive impact that they have had on our school culture. Our students have embraced these values and have shown tremendous growth in their ability to understand and appreciate diversity, empathise with others, and bounce back from setbacks.
We have also made significant strides in our academic programmes. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to develop an engaging and challenging curriculum, and our students have responded with enthusiasm and a desire to learn. We have seen improvements in student achievement across various subjects and are confident that our students are well-prepared for the challenges this term.
Furthermore, we have made significant progress in strengthening our relationships between the school and our whānau. We have worked to create opportunities for parents and caregivers to be involved in their child’s education and have seen the positive impact that this has had on student engagement and achievement. Thank you!
Overall, I am incredibly grateful for the support and dedication of our staff, students, and whānau over the past year. We have achieved so much because of your hard work and commitment. I am excited to continue building on our successes in the years ahead and work together to create a better tomorrow.
