Principal’s Message

Kia ora koutou
We are back!  It’s been a very long time since we had all our tamariki at school and the joy to be back at school was evident in our students’ faces last Thursday and Friday.  Initially, on Thursday morning, it felt unusual to hear and see so many faces, but that didn’t last long!  Our new normal didn’t take long to arrive.  Our hope is that we stay open as long as possible and our planning is comprehensive and detailed to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
I hope you had a chance to enjoy your summer holiday.  Our teachers have been working extremely hard to ensure our health and safety systems are followed – as well as creating exciting and engaging learning plans for our students.  We can’t predict what will happen this term, but we can continue to uphold our school values of kindness, resilience and respect.
Thank you to those parents who have been following our safety protocols – remember, whilst we are at the Red Light setting, parents are not allowed on-site – so if you need to collect your child for an appointment, or if you need to talk to the office for any reason, phone 09 478 8424 and they will be happy to help.  The only parents who should physically come on-site are parents who are dropping their child off at Skids.
Nga mihi nui
Peter Stoner

Kia hikaka, kia maia, kia pono te ngakau.
