Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,
My name is Mia Rajaratnam, and I am a year 6 student at Mairangi Bay School. I am working with Elodie Hansen and we would like to set up a food collection at school to help provide support for less-fortunate families in Auckland.
We would love it if you could bring in any unneeded food that is non-perishable, well-packaged and has a long expiry date from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th August (you will be given a week to bring in your package.) Your child’s teacher will collect the food and we will go round to each classroom to pick it up.
The Salvation Army is a charity that collects food and money and gives it out to people in need of it. We will be taking the food to the Salvation Army and they will be giving the food to the people who need it most.
We believe that making a small contribution to the Salvation Army will make a big difference.
