Principal’s Message
Kia ora tatou
Further to earlier communications, you can be assured that we are reviewing our practices as new information arrives about the Covid-19 virus. We have pandemic planning in place. The consistent advice from health authorities is that covering a sneeze and hand washing are so important. I share these two videos for you to show your children and discuss.

Our Board has approved the 2021 term dates to align with Murrays Bay Intermediate to assist families with children at both schools. Children start on Tuesday 9 February. All dates have been posted to the school website calendar. viz..9 Feb-16 Apr, 3 May-9 Jul, 26 Jul-1 Oct, 18 Oct-17 Dec.
This year, for the first time, we scheduled Meet the Teacher interviews on a day before school started. The online survey feedback has been resoundingly positive with comments such as “it was wonderful to meet the teacher so I could tell her about my child,” “it meant my son was so much more confident and not at all anxious” and “loved it, thank you for making this change.” It was also popular with teachers. The Meet the Teacher Interview for 2021 will be in the week before school starts. Put a circle around Thursday 4 February. For those who like to plan ahead you will also have noted from the last newsletter teacher only days in May and August for this year. (Two will be added to the 2021 calendar at a later date)
Thank you to everyone who is getting in behind our PTA Obstacle Course Fun Run on the afternoon of Saturday 28 March. We are also grateful to those parents of Year 5-6 who have paid the Camp contribution promptly. Please attend to this if you are yet to pay.
Ngā mihi
